Michael and I met at Mongoose VS Cobra, a funky taproom known for interesting beer and serving hot delicious chewy pretzels! Michael approached me as I was about to bite into a pretzel and sparks flew instantly and there I was sharing a pretzel with a handsome interesting guy… it was straight out a movie. Michael remembers how easy it was to talk to me and was impressed with his ‘smooth talking’ skills while I remember noticing him walk into the room and announcing a ‘hot guy alter’ to my girlfriends. We quickly discovered that we had mutual friends and the rest was history! It wasn’t long before we fell in love and it wasn’t long after that we started talking about our future so we decided to wait a year before setting an engagement.
Michael proposed on our one-year anniversary, almost to the minute we had met a year before. I was VERY surprised because although I remembered we had agreed to wait a year, I had no idea it would happen exactly on the day of our one-year anniversary. He proposed over dark chocolate covered pretzels at Brenner’s on the Bayou there wasn’t a doubt in my mind that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with this man… and there wasn’t a chance I was going to say no to dark chocolate covered pretzels either!!!
